AMBIT Polyurethane: How a NetSuite ERP upgrade empowered internal teams and prepared operations for future growth

AMBIT Polyurethane, based in Arlington, Texas, is a specialty chemical manufacturer focused on high-performance spray foam insulation and protective coatings. Their products are used to improve energy efficiency and prevent water intrusion in residential and commercial facilities. In addition to their proprietary formulations, AMBIT is a trusted distributor of spray equipment and parts, providing responsive service and expert support to keep their customers running.

As the business matured, AMBIT needed an ERP solution that could support their specialized manufacturing workflows and improve inventory control in step with their growing operations. That’s when they turned to The Parker Initiative (TPI) and Blend to lead their NetSuite implementation and system optimization.

Overview

AMBIT’s leadership team recognized that legacy systems were holding the business back by limiting visibility and creating inefficiencies across key workflows. To scale sustainably, they needed a cloud-based ERP system that could manage inventory, track formulas and batches, and adapt to the realities of process manufacturing.

With a strong foundation in operations, CFO Al Rearick led the ERP selection and implementation using a train-the-trainer strategy. His goal was to empower the internal team to stay focused on their day-to-day work while preparing for lasting operational change.

TPI’s train-the-trainer approach helped our internal team take full ownership of the system. It wasn’t just about technology—it was about building confidence and capability in our people.

Solution

TPI partnered with AMBIT and Blend to lead a six-month NetSuite ERP implementation, aligning system design with real-world operations and future scalability. From the beginning, the TPI team prioritized collaboration and internal ownership to help AMBIT adopt best practices while tailoring processes to everyday business needs.

In addition to core NetSuite configuration, TPI coordinated the launch of two critical Blend SuiteApps: Formula & Recipe Management and Batch Manufacturing. These tools gave the AMBIT team better control over production processes, inventory visibility, and lot-level tracking. Our goal was to design a system that could help them make informed decisions and move with confidence.

TPI also supported data migration, team training, and change management in order to help internal leaders step into new roles and take full ownership of the system post go-live.

Results

In October 2023, AMBIT went live with NetSuite. The transition replaced outdated tools with a scalable ERP platform designed for chemical and process manufacturers. Now, the team has tools to track, manage, and optimize complex production workflows.

Since implementation, internal confidence has increased and process visibility has improved. With greater control over inventory, production, and data, the AMBIT team is positioned to scale without being held back by manual processes or disconnected systems.

TPI remains a trusted partner as AMBIT evaluates additional enhancements, including Blend’s Quality Control SuiteApp, and continues optimizing NetSuite to support their customers, vendors, and long-term growth goals.
